April Uppercase | UNBOXING

10:51 PM

After receiving last month's Owlcrate box, I decided to try out something new: Uppercase. Like Owlcrate, Uppercase includes a newly released YA book, along with some other goodies. There is no strict theme from month-to-month, something that I actually may prefer - there is a wider range of items available each month without being tied to a certain idea. I knew that the April box (err... bag) was going to include something Harry Potter-related so I thought that I might as well give it a shot. I'm so glad I did.

I love the packaging that Uppercase comes in. Protected by a larger envelope, this bag is simply adorable. After a few times of opening and closing it, there is some fraying and loose thread, but it isn't meant to be the most durable thing in the world. It is somewhat see-through so if you truly want to go into it unspoiled, I would suggest closing your eyes while pulling the items out.

The first thing in this month's bag was this cute little pin and flyer. I am a proud reader of YA books, so I will definitely be sticking this pin on my bag or purse.

The Harry Potter goodness started with these adorable magnetic bookmarks! Hagrid and Buckbeak are cuter than ever. These bookmarks were made by BeedooTO exclusively for Uppercase.

Next up: a notebook. I can never have enough notebooks. This one is the coolest; who doesn't want to pretend like they are a student at Hogwarts?! Inside is just regular lined paper, perfect for copying down spells and potions. (Literary Emporium)

Who wouldn't want a poster of this quote? Sirius Black's words have been beautifully designed by Risa Rodil exclusively for Uppercase. Three Harry Potter items? Yeah. Sold.

Finally: the book. This month's offering was a signed copy of Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here by Anna Breslaw. This isn't a book that I have particularly had my eye set on, but it is one that I have heard about and it definitely sounds like it is something I will enjoy. I can't wait to take advantage of the special interactive reading process and the stickers that came with the book are adorable.

Overall, I am so impressed with April's Uppercase box. I will definitely be keeping my subscription going and, if the quality is as good as this every month, I don't think I will come to regret that decision.

I purchased this box with my own money and I have no affiliation with Uppercase.
