Top 5 Wednesday | These Series Need More Books!

Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey. You can find the Goodreads group here.

When a series needs more books, it's good. Really good. I'm not sure I have read 5 that I think need more books so I may have to tweak this topic just a little bit. Bear with me! In no particular order...

  • The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor

I truly adore this series. While I think it ended in a good place, I could always read more about this world. I would love a spin-off series involving Zuzana. I wouldn't say no to a full-length prequel. I just wouldn't say no. To anything. I love it. More, please.
  • The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
The final installment of this series isn't even out yet. Can you blame me for wanting that end to never come? Okay, I want it to come because I want to read it but I don't want it to be over because then it would be over. Are you following me? Give me more retellings, more great characters, more Iko, more everything, more cyborgs, I don't care. I sound so greedy but, hey, a girl wants what she wants!
  • The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
I'm kind of getting my wish here in that Six of Crows takes place in the same world as this trilogy. I'm hoping that I can really get hooked on these characters and their situations - and I also hope that there isn't a love triangle that ends with the wrong pairing! Ugh. Never over it.
  • The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon
Yeah, yeah. This one is kind of a cheat. While there are only two books currently out in this series, more are coming (I think there will end up being seven). Regardless, I want them now. I need them now. I fell in love with this world and this series from page one.

  • The To All the Boys I've Loved Before duology by Jenny Han
I honestly couldn't think of that many series where I needed more books in them, so I decided to go with this duology because, while I'm happy with how the two books work together, I could always read more. I love these characters, I love the way that Han writes, I love everything. I will never say no to more Kitty Song Covey!
